Richard C. Thompson, PhD

Academic Dean, School of Business, Jones International University

Dr. Thompson serves as the Department Chair for the Business Administration degree programs at Jones International University. He has been involved in higher education for more than 20 years in both instruction and administration, most recently as an instructor in the BBA and MBA programs at JIU and as an adjunct faculty member of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Dr. Thompson has been published in business journals in the areas of Strategic Management and Human Resources Management. As an administrator, Dr. Thompson has worked in student services, developing such projects as Strategic Planning and Process Re-Engineering. Dr. Thompson has also provided consulting services to private and public corporations since 1989 in the areas of Strategic Management and Statistical and Data Analysis.
