Dr. Perli is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests focus on macroeconomic issues and on the role of information technology in the modern economy. The results of his research have been published in many articles in academic journals. At the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Perli has taught courses on micro- and macroeconomics, finance, computational economics, and econometrics. In addition, he has lectured at New York University, the University of Venice, and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He has presented the results of his research to a number of universities in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and at several academic and professional conferences. In 1997, he received the Kravis award for distinguished teaching at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the executive committee of the International Association of Italian Economists and a visiting research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
