Need Help? Ask an Online Librarian.

Need to find scholarly articles for a paper or project? Having trouble searching a Jones e-global library database? There’s a service available to you within the library that will provide you with the answers any time—day or night—you have questions. Through our “Ask an Online Librarian” reference service, you will be connected via email with a professional librarian who will assist you with your search.

To access this service, go to e-global library, click on “Ask an Online Librarian,” and then “Connect.” First, you will be asked to fill out a short form with your first name, email address, and your question. Next, a librarian will greet you, and use a combination of co-browsing and chat technologies to direct you to the source that answers your question. After you log out of the service, you will receive an email with a full transcript of the session. The transcript not only records the conversation you had with the librarian, but also provides hyperlinks to any sites visited during the session. This service is also available in Spanish.

Business Company Research

The Gale Business and Company Resource Center is a great tool for doing case study research on companies. This database provides company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies, and articles from business periodicals. It also includes financial overviews, industry overviews, and HR law case digests. The Resource Center is located in e-global library under “Research Databases.” For search tips, please go to: http://www.gale.com/pdf/searchtip/bcrc_tip.pdf.
