Overview

Written communication skills are critical to success in the business world. Through systematic practice and analysis of expository rhetoric and composition, you will develop proficiency in critical thinking, reading, and writing skills.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Compose written works, including proper sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Conceive ideas, select materials, organize contents, and choose a writing style appropriate to audience and purpose.
  • Write a comprehensive research paper, complete with accurate quoting, paraphrasing, summarization, and documentation of sources.
