This course systematically approaches fraud detection and deterrence concepts relative to forensics accounting. It provides an overview of the field of Fraud Examination. It addresses what fraud is, as well as how it is committed, detected, and deterred. It begins with an explanation of fraud examination methodology, followed by detailed examination of the most prevalent fraud schemes used by employees, owners, managers, and executives. The course is based on the three main categories of occupational fraud and abuse (i.e., asset misappropriation, corruption, and fraudulent statements).
